Finding Inner Balance in Today's World is HARD
I don't know about you, but finding inner balance in today's world is HARD.
Dr. Andrew Weil said, "The essence of HEALTH is an inner kind of BALANCE."
What does he mean by an inner kind of balance?
We are told generic guidelines, like:
▶️ Eat healthy (Most people don't know what that means)
▶️ Exercise daily (Does sex count? Yes, yes it does)
▶️ Hydrate (All day long)
▶️ Enjoy quality sleep (Do you mean before kids or after they leave the house?)
▶️ Practice a resilient mindset (Basically, don't take things personally and rock on)
▶️ Socialize (30:30:30 is a good guideline and finding your tribe is essential)
▶️ Stay curious (Keep learning new things and be open-minded)
▶️ Engage in creativity (Allow your brain to have fun, preferably daily)
▶️ Feed your spirituality/life purpose (Super important: know your beliefs & values)
▶️ Be kind, appreciative, grateful, mindful, compassionate, and smile 😀
Oh, and let's start a family, open a company, lead a merger, or downsize a department at the same time.
Can you relate? It can sometimes be HARD.
When I welcome people into my coaching program, we talk through the areas that need to be addressed. I like to make sure sleep and hydration are squared away first thing; otherwise, any good intentions will fall flat.
Then, we go straight into finding those extra 10+ hours to create the inner balance that Dr. Weil is talking about so HEALTH is on the way and sustained EVERY DAY (most days, perfection is not the focus).
When we feel HEALTHY, we THRIVE, we SOAR, we feel ON TOP.
