What Would You Do With an Extra 5 Hours a Week?

What would you do with an extra 5 hours a week?

This is a pivotal question for many of my clients.

This is a typical question I ask my clients who are feeling extra stressed, irritable and burned out.

What tends to happen, especially for high achievers, is a hyper focus on accomplishment, task completion, and momentum.

Then, almost without warning
- decision fatigue
- unexpected irritability, and
- insecurity pops up.

So, we go through the checklist of sleep quality, hydration, fitness routine, etc. but often, what is really needed is a block of time to

- have some fun, belly laugh, giggle
- be curious about a new experience, a destination, or a new social group
- create... anything... recipe, art, music, an article, a treehouse

Remember, treehouses? The joy of childhood, of losing track of time.

That is where those extra hours need to go, a place where you lose track of time and allow your brain to experience some respite from your daily grind.

If you had an extra 5 hours a week, what would you do that allowed you freedom from responsibility, obligation, and guilt?

I chose boating on Tuesday with my youngest and my husband. It was so lovely!
