Stop, Real Quick, and Acknowledge How Far You Have Come.
Stop, real quick, and acknowledge how far you have come.
Think about your

- young adulthood foibles (or more recent ones π€£ )
- overcoming adversity by traveling π through it and getting to the other side
"Gratitude is the recognition of ALL THAT HOLDS US IN THE WEB OF LIFE and ALL THAT HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE to have the life that we have and the MOMENT we are experiencing." - The Book of Joy (loved this book! β€οΈ )
Here is a recent moment of beautifulness: me, my 15 and 20 year old and my mom.
π Last year, my mom survived a heart attack and had a successful double bypass. She made it to the hospital in time because I decided not to attend a conference in DC and instead stay home. The day the conference started, she started experiencing a heart attack and I happened to be home to call for help.
π During COVID, my middle was going through some decision making that scared me so much and led me to quit my job to be home full time and support him. This decision also happened to push me to start my own company. He is now independent as ever and, in fact, gifted all of us with concert tickets and Santana t-shirts!
π And my youngest started their life blue and not breathing. And today, is healthy, happy, and right on schedule with learning and growing.
So, you can say that I am all kinds of grateful right now. π
β‘ It is important to take time (preferably daily) to acknowledge YOUR WINS.
β‘ Each acknowledgement, however small, is a POWERFUL TOOL for your mind to keep going and feed the BELIEF that you have what it takes to get there.
β‘ Incorporating a daily GRATITUDE PRACTICE is a must. It fuels satisfaction.
I like my "Good Morning Gratitude" ritual where I review a list of top things in my head before I get out of bed each day.
I also like my "Evening Reflection" ritual where I review highlights of the day, however small or mundane, because it is important for my mind to create the connections in my brain which affirms that there are many things going right.
