The CEO Productivity System: How to Get More Done Without Burning Out

Over the years, I have met 100s CEO’s and they aren’t struggling because they don’t know what to do.

They’re struggling because they don’t have the energy to do it.

They’re exhausted from endless decisions, late-night emails, and a brain that never shuts off.

So let me share the productivity system I use (and coach my clients on) that gets work done without burning out:

1. Block your energy, not just your time.
Instead of scheduling tasks back-to-back, notice when your body is most alert and creative. Do your high-value work there. Save admin for low-energy hours.

2. Protect deep work.
CEOs get pulled in a hundred directions. Guard 2–3 hours a day of no-meeting time. That’s where strategy and problem-solving actually happen.

3. Design a shutdown ritual.
When the workday ends, your brain needs a cue to stop working. It could be a walk, a journal entry, or simply shutting the laptop and writing tomorrow’s top priority.

When I first started using this system myself, I noticed something simple but powerful:

I wasn’t just getting more done, I was getting the right things done.

And it made me realise that perfection isn’t the goal. Endless hustle isn’t the answer.

Sustainable systems are.
Because when a CEO is rested, clear, and present, the whole company feels it.
